VAROX™ Organic Peroxides are commonly used in PP to decrease the average molecular weight of the polymer leading to an increase in Melt Flow Rate and a decrease in the breadth of the Molecular Weight Distribution. "Vis-broken" or "controlled rheology" PP provide products with decreased warpage, more uniform shrinkage, and increased elongation at break. VAROX™ Organic Peroxides can also be used to crosslink PE. Crosslinking PE provides the finished part with improved resistance to heat, environment stress crack, weathering, chemicals, and oxidation.
