VITON™ GFLT-200S Fluoroelastomer

Chemours; Viton™ GFLT-200S Fluoroelastomer is a low viscosity 67% fluorine, peroxide-cured, low-temperature fluoroelastomer. Viton™ GFLT-200S utilizes the latest technology from Chemours;, Advanced Polymer Architecture (APA), which includes a novel peroxide cure site along with an optimized molecular weight distribution. Is ideal for blending with Viton™ GFLT-600S to reach intermediate viscosity ranges for injection and transfer molding; heat, fluids, and low-temperature resistance comparable to Viton™ GFLT-300 and Viton™ GFLT-301; cures exceptionally fast to a high state of cure; improved mold release/mold fouling properties; improved mold flow and less shear sensitivity for a 25 Mooney peroxy cured FKM; good physical properties with high elongation, both original and aged; improved water resistance/lower volume swell in water; excellent compression set resistance with either low or no postcure.A load factor of 72%+ for internal mixing of Viton™ GFLT-200S is preferred.

VITON™ GBL-200S Sheets Fluoroelastomer

Viton™ GBL-200S is a next generation, easy processing, low viscosity, peroxide cured 68% fluorine fluoroelastomer based on new Advanced Polymer Architecture technology. Compared to the original Viton™ GBL-200, Viton™ GBL-200S shows better processability coupled with similar or improved fluids resistance in aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, water, steam, and acids. Is ideal for blending with Viton™ GBL-600S to reach intermediate viscosity ranges; cures exceptionally fast to a high state of cure; exhibits improved mold release/mold fouling properties compared to Viton™ GBL-900 and Viton™ GBL-200; exhibits improved mold flow and less shear sensitivity than 65 Mooney Viton™ GBL-600S; exhibits excellent physical properties with high elongation, both original and aged compounds; exhibits similar heat, fluids, and low-temperature resistance compared to Viton™; GBL-200; exhibits excellent compression set resistance with little (2 hr) or no postcure.

VITON™ GF-200S Fluoroelastomer

Viton™ GF-600S Fluoroelastomer 70% fluorine, peroxide-cured floroelastomer similar to Viton™ GF-600S but with a significantly lower gum polymer viscosity of ~25 (ML @ 121°C). GF-200S utilizes the latest technology from DuPont™ Performance Elastoners, Advanced Polymer Architecture (APA), which includes a novel peroxide cure site along with an optimized molecular weight distribution. Excellent fluid resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols including methanol, oils, steam, and acids; is ideal for blending with Viton™ GF-600S to reach intermediate viscosity ranges for injection molding; improved mold release / mold fouling properties; improved mold flow and less shear senditivity than 65 Mooney Viton™ GF-600S; excellent physical properties with high elongation, both original and aged; heat, fluids, and low-temperature properties comparable to Viton™ GF and Viton™ GF-600S; improved water resistance / lower volume swell in water; excellent compression set resistance with either low or no postcure. A load factor of 72%+ for internal mixing of Viton™ GF-600S is suggested.

Viton™ GLT-200S Fluoroelastomer

Viton™ GLT-200S Fluoroelastomer is a 64% fluorine, peroxide-cured, low temperature fluoroelastomer similar to Viton™ GLT-600S but with a significantly lower gum polymer viscosity of ~25 (ML at 121°C). Viton™ GLT-200S utilizes the latest technology from DuPont™, Advanced Polymer Architecture (APA), which includes a novel peroxide cure site along with an optimized molecular weight distribution. Cures exceptionally fast to a high state of cure; is ideal for blending with Viton™ GLT-600S to reach intermediate viscosity ranges for injection molding; improved mold release/mold fouling properties; improved mold flow and less shear sensitivity than 65 Mooney Viton™ GLT-600S; excellent physical properties with high elongation, both original and aged; heat, fluids, and low-temperature resistance comparable to Viton™ GLT and new Viton™ GLT-600S; improved water resistance/lower volume swell in water; excellent compression set resistance with either low or no postcure. A load factor of 72%+ for internal mixing of Viton™ GLT-200S is recommended.

VITON™ Extreme™ ETP-600S Sheet Fluoroelastomer

Extreme Type - A new Viton™ "Extreme" fluoroelastomer, formerly known as VTR-8710, utilizes DuPont Dow's new Advanced Polymer Architecture technology which significantly improves processing and curing characteristics. Advanced Polymer Architecture technology in Viton™ Extreme™ ETP-600S Sheet upgraded the peroxide curesite along with optimizing the molecular architecture to deliver a polymer which cures faster and to a higher state of cure when compared to Viton™ ETP-900 and Viton™ ETP-500; shows improved mold release/mold fouling properties compared to Viton™ ETP-900 and Viton™ ETP-500; shows improved mold flow, less shear sensitivity for a 65 Mooney FKM; shows improved compression set resistance when compared to Viton™ ETP-900 and Viton™ ETP-500; shows the same broad fluid resistance of all Viton™ ETP "Extreme" polymers.

DuPont™ Viton™ GBL-600S is a next generation, easy processing, peroxide cured 68% fluorine fluoroelastomer based on new Advanced Polymer Architecture technology. Compared to the original Viton™ GBL-900, Viton™ GBL-600S exhibits processability coupled with similar or improved fluids resistance in aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, water, steam, and acids. Cures exceptionally fast to a high state of cure; similar to improved low temperature properties compared to Viton™ GFLT; improved mold release/mold fouling properties; improved mold flow and less shear sensitivity for a 65 Mooney peroxy cured FKM; excellent physical properties with high elongation, both original and aged; heat, fluids, and low-temperature resistance comparable to Viton™ GFLT; improved water resistance/lower volume swell in water; excellent compression set resistance with either low or no postcure. A load factor of 72%+ for internal mixing of GFLT-600S is preferred.

Advanced Polymer Architecture (APA)

Advanced Polymer Architecture (APA) is a unique, proprietary advance in fluoroelastomer technology developed by DuPont. Specialty-types of Viton™ made with APA exhibit better end-use properties and improved processibility through the control of molecular weight distribution, polymer chain branching, and new cure site monomers. APA technology makes processing easy The optimized polymer structure and strategically placed cure sites of DuPont™ Viton&trade made with APA technology allow DuPont to dramatically improve processing characteristics such as flow, cure and mold release without sacrificing end-use performance. Shorter cycle times, less waste and improved productivity are possible with APA polymers. APA polymers also provide fast output rates and low die-swell in extrusion processes, leading to high-quality extruded tubing, profiles or preform cord with excellent dimensional stability. Since good physical properties and low compression set can be achieved without post curing, new production opportunities such as overmolding onto plastic inserts or carriers can be realized.
